Established in 2006 around the strategic objective to "educate all students for an increasingly globalized world," the International Programs Office (IPO) broadly supports the internationalization of DePaul’s faculty, staff and students.
Chicago is a center of global trade and communication. As the historical educator of Chicago’s cultural, business and political elite, DePaul University strives to educate students to live and work in an increasingly interconnected world.
The IPO fosters quality international programming on our Chicago campuses by recruiting, retaining and engaging international scholars and students in a diverse and intellectually stimulating campus life. Faculty and students returning from abroad together with international scholars form the foundation of an international learning community that embraces service and celebrates diversity. This holistic approach to international educational programming integrates incoming and outgoing transnational activities in order to nurture an international culture at DePaul that will complement and enhance our teaching, our societies and our scholarly activities.
