If you have US college credit, submit directly to DePaul US college/university transcripts from all US colleges/universities attended in sealed envelopes
If you have international university credit, submit a course-by-course evaluation completed by Educational Perspectives (www.edperspectives.org/depaul), Educational Credential Evaluators (www.ece.org), or One Earth International Credential Evaluations (http://www.oneearthevaluations.org/One_Earth/DePaul_University.html). You will need to fill out an application on their website, pay the evaluation fee and submit all required educational credentials as described on their website.
If you have less than 30 semester credit hours, submit directly to DePaul high school transcripts from all high schools attended in the original language with the school’s official stamp/seal and word-for-word English translations, if applicable. Also, official examination results from the examining boards are required if taken.
Submit proof of English Proficiency; can be demonstrated by one of the following:
IBT TOEFL: minimum score of 80, with no section lower than 17; PBT TOEFL: minimum score of 550
IELTS: minimum score of 6.5 overall
SAT: minimum critical reading score of 500
A minimum grade of C in Composition I and Composition II (or the equivalent to DePaul’s WRD 103 and WRD 104) from an US accredited college or university.
Conditional admission is available for those who are academically eligible but don’t meet the minimum English proficiency standards. Music and Theatre do not accept students on a conditional basis.
4. Conditional Admission Applicants ONLY
DePaul offers conditional admission to applicants of all undergraduate programs, with the exception of Music and Theaters majors, who are academically admissible but do not meet the English proficiency requirements for regular admission.
Requirements for Conditional Admission
To apply for conditional admission, a student must present one of the following scores:
Conditionally admitted students must enroll full-time in DePaul's English Language Academy (ELA) and will not be allowed to register for academic classes in their undergraduate program until the English proficiency is met by either the ELA TOEFL test (available at the end of each quarter term) or complete ELA's University Bridge Level.
Photocopied, faxed or scanned records are not accepted as official documents.
If you mail original documents to DePaul, they can be returned to you if you specifically request it in a cover letter at the time of submission. If you bring original documents into the office, International Admission can photocopy them and return the originals to you on the spot. Unless specifically requested back at the time of submission, all documents become property of DePaul University and will not be returned at a later date.
